Education Meets Adventure 

Brain Chase is an educational online treasure hunt designed for students in grades 2 through 8 to help prevent summer learning loss. To support this innovative adventure, Creative Tonic created a fun, dynamic brand and online experience that captures the imagination and keeps kids engaged through their summer break.

The Challenge

As a new venture and an unfamiliar concept, Brain Chase needed a brand identity and user experience that captured attention and quickly communicated both the educational component for parents and fun component for kids. And, with such a wide age range for students, the design and tone needed to be clear and simple to engage both ends of the age and learning-level spectrum.

The Approach

Stay true to the spirit of challenge, making sure that our branding work meshed with the animation by Powerhouse Animations and appealed to both parents and kids. For the identity, we focused on a maze and included a hidden key in the logo text to reinforce the puzzle and challenge aspect of the online experience, hinting at the hidden clues brain chasers would find as they began their adventure.

The Creative Tonic team created all of our branding collateral, then designed our website and learning management system. They consistently exceeded my expectations – they were fast, creative, and did amazing work. I would recommend them without hesitation.
